Hair mineral analysis

A hair sample where the laboratory analyses the concentration of a number of minerals and elements. You get a report in Swedish with my interpretation, as a complementary basis for diet and lifestyle.

You eat well. Take supplements. Try to do the right thing. But what does you in particular need?

It’s easy to guess your way forward. Hair mineral analysis is a complementary basis that gives the conversation about your diet and lifestyle something more concrete to start from. Not an answer key and not a diagnosis, but a piece of the puzzle.

What is hair mineral analysis (HMA)?

Hair mineral analysis is a laboratory test where a hair sample is analysed. The laboratory analyses the concentration of a number of minerals and elements in the hair sample. According to Nutritech, 35 minerals are examined, along with heavy metals.

I use the result as a complementary basis in the conversation about diet and lifestyle. It’s not a medical diagnosis, not proof of illness and not a complete picture of how you feel or of your nutritional status. It doesn’t replace healthcare or blood tests.

Other tests may be added on request.

Hair mineral analysis is a laboratory test where a hair sample is analysed. The laboratory analyses the concentration of a number of minerals and elements in the sample. According to Nutritech, 35 minerals are examined, along with heavy metals. Marie uses the result as a complementary basis in the conversation about diet and lifestyle. How long does it take?

Allow roughly 2–5 weeks from when the sample is taken until you have your report. How long it takes depends on how busy the laboratory is. How much does hair mineral analysis cost?

Hair mineral analysis costs 3,000 SEK for new clients and 2,500 SEK for returning clients. Both prices include VAT. You are a returning client if you have had the analysis done through Marie before. You can contact Marie, book a first call or go to my.mawa.nu.

What is a returning client?

If you have not had the analysis through Marie before, 3,000 SEK applies. If you are unsure which price applies, you can email marie@mawa.nu before you book or buy.

Who analyses the sample?

The sample is analysed by the laboratory Trace Elements in Addison, Texas, USA. It is sent there via Nutritech, which works with the laboratory and runs the hair mineral analysis course that Marie has taken. Does hair mineral analysis replace a doctor or blood tests?

No. Hair mineral analysis is not a medical diagnosis and does not replace visits to a doctor, healthcare or blood tests. It is a complementary basis in the conversation about diet and lifestyle.
