MAWA Business
Health that works between the meetings too
Lunch in front of the computer. The energy dip at three o’clock. Coffee instead of breakfast. Health at work doesn’t have to start with yet another challenge. MAWA Business is nutrition advice and lifestyle coaching that helps employees make food and everyday habits a little easier, tailored to your workplace. I’m Marie Wasserman, a health coach and trained nutrition adviser. My own health journey began more than 15 years ago. Participation is voluntary for each person and we start small.

The wellness allowance in plain words
Under the Swedish Tax Agency’s rules on staff wellness (friskvård), nutrition advice can be included in the wellness allowance if all employees are offered the same terms. The reimbursement is usually paid out against a receipt.
It is you as the employer who decide what your allowance covers and who are responsible for the tax treatment. Current rules can be found at the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket).

Frequently asked questions from HR
What is MAWA Business?
MAWA Business is nutrition advice and lifestyle coaching for your team, tailored to your workplace. You can choose group coaching for 4 to 6 weeks, individual nutrition coaching for your staff, or a team package with the e-book Nice to meat you. Marie Wasserman, a health coach and trained nutrition adviser, leads the programme.
Can we use the wellness allowance?
You can, if your allowance covers nutrition advice. Under the Swedish Tax Agency’s rules on staff wellness, nutrition advice can be included if all employees are offered the same terms, and the reimbursement is usually paid out against a receipt. You as the employer decide and are responsible for the tax treatment. This is general information, not tax advice.
Will we see individual participants’ results?
No. You never get access to individual participants’ health information. What participants share with Marie stays with her. If you would like reporting back, it is summarised, with no information about individuals. This applies to both group coaching and individual nutrition coaching.
What does it cost?
It depends on the format, for example whether it is group coaching, individual nutrition coaching or a team package, and on how many of you there are. That is why we have no fixed prices here. Request a quote and you will get a proposal tailored to your team.
How do you invoice?
The invoice goes to the company and is issued by Re:Living Project AB, which owns MAWA and is approved for F-tax. The company registration number and VAT number are in the footer. Payment terms and what the invoice looks like are agreed in the quote. If you have questions about invoicing, you are welcome to email Marie.
Is it medical advice or treatment?
No. MAWA Business is nutrition and lifestyle advice and does not replace healthcare, diagnosis or treatment. Marie Wasserman is a trained nutrition adviser. Anyone with an illness or symptoms should contact a doctor or another healthcare provider, especially before changing their diet or stopping a treatment.
Is hair mineral analysis included?
No. Hair mineral analysis is offered to private individuals only and is not part of MAWA Business or any other business package. Anyone who is interested can contact Marie themselves and buy the analysis. It cannot be arranged through the employer. If someone on your staff wants to know more, they are welcome to get in touch with Marie.
